1500: A booming Henman serve cuts into Moya's body and he struggles to get his return as fas as the net, but a loopy forehand then goes long for deuce.

1457: Henman races in behind his serve but nets the volley. A double fault then gives Moya a 15-30 advantage and Centre Court falls silent. Brilliant forehand into the corner has Moya racing round but he's never going to get there. 30-30.

1456: Henman's forehand winner down the line makes it 30-30 but he then goes long with a mis-timed forehand. Moya comes to the net, applies the pressure and forces the mistake to take the game for 9-9.

1453: A weak backhand return from Henman - 15-0. Ripped backhand cross-court makes amends and it's 15-15. One of these men needs to find a break but a big serve from Moya gets him to 30-15.

1451: Henman's backhand volley spins on the baseline, wrong-footing Moya who hits a forehand wide. Henman leads 9-8.

1450: Wonderful cross-court backhand winner from Moya gets him back to 30-15. He's not the former world number one for nothing. Then again... a woeful forehand is wide and Henman gets to 40-15.

1448: Alona Bondarenko, the 24th seed, has beaten Jill Craybas in straight sets. Henman challenges a line call, loses and Moya has levelled it up again at 8-8.

1444: Robredo has won the third set to lead 2-1 and Juan Carlos Ferrero has levelled his match at 2-2 against Jan Hajek.

1442: Advantage Henman after a powerful serve into the body. Game when a wide serve is returned into the net. Baker loses his tie-break.

1441: A perfect drop half-volley puts Henman clear at 40-15 but he's then beaten by a majestic forehand return winner. Henman then fails to make a volley at the net for deuce.

1440: Henman gets back to 15-15 and a wide forehand from Moya makes it 30-15. The Spaniard challenges, but he's wasting his time.

1439: Moya wraps up the game for 7-7, pressure back on Henman, who is beaten by a solid forehand return. 0-15.

1438: Moya lets a sliced backhand from Henman go but it's well in. He makes up for the error with a decent first serve for 30-15 before Henman nets a forehand return.

1437: Baker is into a first set tie-break with Roger. Henman goes long on the first point of the 14th game.

1435: Henman smashes for 40-15 and then for the game. 7-6. Qureshi meets Safin next, with the winner pencilled in for a third round meeting with Roger Federer.

1434: Childs loses his third set tie-break and with the match to Qureshi - 6-3 6-4 7-6. Moya beats Henman with a passing shot for 30-15.

1433: Henman rushes the net again and volleys for 15-0. Moya's backhand into the net makes it 30-0. Henman looks fired up.

1432: Moya puts away a simple head-high volley at the net to take the game and make it 6-6. Both players go back up to three challenges.

1431: Henman returns long and then fails to return a wide serve for 40-15. He gets plenty on a weak second serve though and forces an error for 40-30.

1430: Henman can't return a decent first serve from Moya, 15-0, but he charges the net and volleys backhand into the corner for 15-15. Safin completes a 7-5 7-6 6-4 victory.

1428: Henman unleashes a powerful serve down the centre and it's all Moya can do to get a bit of racquet on it. 6-5 Henman. Jan Hernych has beaten Marc Gicquel in four and Childs has saved a match point against Qureshi.

1427: A forehand to the corner stretches Moya and Henman rushes in to put away a simple volley for 40-0. A half volley is wide though for 40-15. Tsonga is through, 7-5 7-6 6-4.

1425: Henman wins the first point on the resumption with a huge smash, to even bigger cheers. Moya's wayward backhand return makes it 30-0.

1421: Match point for O'Brien against the Kloesel serve and she takes it for a 6-3 7-5 success. She'll meet either 31st seed Michaela Krajicek or Tina Obziler in the second round. Hopefully she won't be the only Brit left in the draw by then....

1420: O'Brien holds for a 6-5 lead and puts the pressure on the Kloesel serve and Childs is into a predictable tie-break after the third set goes with serve.

1419: O'Brien has fought back from a break down and is serving at 5-5. Childs has held for 6-5.

1416: Baltacha saves one match point against Srebotnik, but nets a backhand on the second and her Wimbledon is over. Srebotnik will face either Anna-Lena Groenefeld or Nika Ozegovic in round two.

1330: Ninth seed James Blake is a set to the good on Igor Andreev, winning the opener 6-3 on Court One.

1328: Childs looks set to be the latest Brit to pack his bags - he's just lost the second set against Qureshi, the world number several-hundred.

1325: A delightful backhand cross-court winner gives Mauresmo the fifth game - and only 17 minutes have been played.

1320: Mauresmo has quickly opened up a 3-0 lead against Jackson on Centre Court.

1315: Britain's Lee Childs loses first set of men's singles first round match against Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, of Pakistan, 6-3.

1311: Mauresmo serves first and is taken to deuce, but she comes through her first test to go 1-0 up over Jackson.

1307: Tenth seed Daniela Hantuchova is through to the second round after an easy 6-0 6-1 win over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

1257: Tim Henman and Carlos Moya continue their first round battle following Amelie Mauresmo and Jamea Jackson on Centre Court, and the Brit, needing only two games to clinch victory, is looking forward to the experience.

Speaking outside a chilly player's practice area, Henman said he was confident he would see off the Spaniard.

He told the BBC: "I am playing well. I think we are both playing well. The nature of the way we were playing, it was good quality tennis and I think it is reflected in the scoreline.

"It is not the easiest time to stop a match but we have just got to get out there and see how it goes."

Asked if he was confident of winning, Henman replied: "Absolutely."

1254: Baltacha saves another set point before winning the game to take it to 5-5 against Srebotnik.
