1558 - the end is nigh for Henman.

1948: It only takes a few more minutes for Nadal to wrap up a 6-2 6-4 6-1 victory, concluding the singles action for day four. After all the rain delays, the first two rounds have been completed on schedule.

1943: Nadal has another break and at 4-1 it won't be long now until he has booked his place in round three and a meeting with Robin Soderling.

1932: Nadal's match against Eschauer is now the only outstanding second round tie. It won't be for long, Nadal has broken for a 2-1 lead in the third set.

1931: Davydenko completes his comeback from two sets down - for the fourth time his career - with a backhand winner down the line. 3-6 5-7 7-6 6-4 6-2.

1928: A second service break puts Davydenko on the brink of a place in the third round.

1925: A love service game edges Davydenko closer to victory over Guccione at 4-2 in the decider.

1924: Guillermo Canas, the 22nd seed, will meet Lleyton Hewitt in the third round after a four-set win over Max Mirnyi.

1919: Davydenko is ahead for the first time in the match courtesy of a break in the third game of the fifth set. Nadal, meanwhile, has won the second set 6-4.

1911: Nadal has the first break of the second set against Eschauer for a 4-3 lead. David Nalbandian is through after beating Dancevic in four, confirming his third round match-up against Baghdatis.

1908: Davydenko has levelled up the match by taking the fourth set 6-4, so they're into a decider on Court One.

1900: Davydenko has broken through in the seventh game of the fourth set for a 4-3 lead over Guccione.

1849: Mauresmo has completed a routine 6-1 6-2 win over Meusburger, whose serve was too weak to pose any problems for the champion.

1841: Davydenko wins the tie-break 7-5 and takes the match into a fourth set.

1839: It's 3-3 at the change of ends between Davydenko and Guccione, the Russian having led 3-1.

1837: Nadal has broken again and that should be the first set in the bag at 5-2.

1836: Davydenko and Guccione are heading for a third set tie-break after the set went with serve.

1831: Nadal has turned the tables on Eschauer, saving a break point in the fourth game and then breaking to love for a 3-2 lead in the fifth.

1822: Despite his defeat to Lopez, Henman has confirmed he has no intention of calling it a day. "I will reflect on the two matches I've played (at Wimbledon). That is the tennis I want to play more regularly," he said. "There's no reason why I can't do that. I'm not going to play forever, but I'm passionate about what I do. I love what I do. I want to make the most of it."

1821: Nadal doesn't waste any time breaking back, it's 1-2 now with the Spaniard serving.

1818: Here's a surprise on Centre Court. Werner Eschauer, the world number 72 from Austria, has broken Rafael Nadal for a 2-0 lead in the first set.

1816: Mauresmo breaks to love in the sixth game and there's a certain inevitability about the outcome of this match.

1814: That is likely to be Nalbandian, who won the first two sets, although he is a break down at 2-4 in the third.

1813: Baghdatis was held up for a while by Devilder, who won the third set on a tie-break, but the Cypriot has won 6-0 7-6 6-7 6-2 and will meet either David Nalbandian or Frank Dancevic in the third round.

1809: Mauresmo didn't take too long to get into her stride, breaking again in the fourth game for a 3-1 lead.

1801: Mauresmo has broken straight back against Meusburger for 1-1 in the first set.

1757: Guccione has the second set against Davydenko for a two-set lead, while Meusburger has broken the Mauresmo serve in the first game.

1754: Defending champion Amelie Mauresmo is about to start the final second round match in the women's singles out on Court Two, where she is facing Yvonne Meusburger.

1752: Sharapova is through 6-0 6-3, although a Bremond double fault finished the match. On Court One an upset is brewing, as Guccione is serving for a two-set lead against Davydenko having trailed 5-2 in the second set.

1742: Djokovic is into the third round, although he made things difficult for himself by surrendering a break in the fourth set against Delic before winning it on a tie-break.

1725: Rafael Nadal v Werner Eschauer is the last match on Centre Court. Assuming Nadal wins he'll meet Robin Soderling after the Swede put out Sebastien Grosjean in four sets.

1722: Of course, 17 minutes is nothing. The history books tell us that a tie-break between Vicki Nelson-Dunbar and Jean Hepner in 1984 lasted one hour and 47 minutes. Sharapova, who is now 2-0 up, can normally fit two matches into that time.

1716: Sharapova takes 17 minutes to break in the first game of the second set, taking a 1-0 lead after nine deuces.

1712: Guccione takes the first set against Davydenko with an ace - 6-3.

1700: Sharapova comes back from 0-40 to wrap up the first set 6-0 and she's hurrying into the third round.

1655: Djokovic is back on top against Delic, winning the third set 6-3 for a 2-1 lead. On Court One, Guccione has earned the first break against Davydenko for a 3-1 lead in the first set.

1653: Sharapova is having it all her own way as she breaks again for a 5-0 lead.

1650: Dinara Safina has become the highest-ranked woman to go out, beaten 6-4 7-5 by Akiko Morigami, who will face Venus Williams in the third round.

1647: After winning the first set in 18 minutes, Baghdatis was made to work harder for the second, but he's taken it on a tie-break.

1646: Sharapova gets a second break of serve and she leads 3-0 inside 12 minutes.

1641: Sharapova is on her way with a break of serve in the first game against Bremond.

1628: Hewitt's routine victory is over on Court One. The Australian beat Bolelli 6-2 6-2 6-1. Nikolay Davydenko v Chris Guccione is the next, and last, match on Court One.

1627: Youzhny, the 14th seed, has won in five sets against Simon, fighting back from 2-1 down. He faces Nieminen next.

1625: Marat Safin is renowned for his often suspect temperament on court - and it appears he's getting pretty angry off it too. The multi-millionaire has been complaining about the quality and price of the food in the players' restaurant, moaning that the daily allowance was not enough for a hearty meal. "For a plate of pasta, it's costing around £10, right? For £10, which is US$20, you can have a great pasta at Cipriani in New York," Safin said. "Everybody knows this restaurant. I think it's one of the best restaurants in New York. In Moscow, one of the most expensive restaurants, we have better pasta for 20 bucks, that's for sure." At least Safin was happy to point out he does like some aspects of Wimbledon. "What I like is the tradition," he added. They improved a lot of the site, great facilities for the players to be inside. The restaurant area, plenty of space, pretty comfortable. You can go to Aorangi (practice courts) through the tunnel, you don't have to go with all the people. Great locker rooms. Great showers.

Showers is really important. If you see them, you understand what I'm talking about.''

1624: Delic has won the second set against Djokovic to level the match at one set apiece.

1620: Should Sharapova win, her next opponent will be 26th seed Ai Sugiyama, who has recovered from a set down to beat Alize Cornet.

1620: Henman departs to great applause. Sharapova is up next on Centre, facing Severine Bremond.

1619: Lopez is back in the zone and there's little Henman can do. A backhand into the net gives the man from Madrid three match points and he takes the second against an exhausted Henman. 7-6 7-6 3-6 2-6 6-1.

1616: Lopez gets to break point twice on the Henman serve. The first is saved but Henman then lets a mis-hit return float over his head and turns to see it drop on the baseline. He challenges, but in vain.

1611: Petrova, the 11th seed, has beaten Mirza 6-2 6-2 to reach the third round.

1608: Seventh seed Tomas Berdych has won two tie-breaks for a two-set lead on Michael Llodra.

1606: Out of nowhere, Lopez has returned to the form of the first two sets and that's ominous for Henman. A love service game makes it 4-1.

1605: Henman battles to hold serve but gets there in the end. Lopez leads 3-1 final set.

1602: Hewitt is cruising. The former champion has won the second set 6-2 for a 2-0 lead.

1602: French Open runner-up Ana Ivanovic is the latest player to attend the press conference room and she feels her game is really coming along on grass. A 6-4 6-3 winner over Meilen Tu today, she said: "It's a different game, a different kind of movement. It takes some time to adjust to it but now I'm starting to feel better on the court. I feel I'm moving well. I

just want to play my game, try to be more aggressive, which I think can be very useful on the grass. At this point I think everyone can beat everyone. It's exciting for women's tennis. It's very exciting for us. But I still think players like Justine (Henin) and (Amelie) Mauresmo are the favourites."

1559: Djokovic has lost the first three games of the second set to Delic.

1558: Lopez holds for a 3-0 lead and Centre Court is quiet once again.

1556: None of the top 16 seeds in the women's event are out, but 13th seed Dinara Safina is in trouble after losing the first set to Akiko Morigami.

1555: The first opportunity of the fifth set goes to Lopez as he gets to 15-40 on the Henman serve. A double fault gives him the break for a 2-0 lead, now Henman has to dig it out again.

1551: Lopez holds to love and that should settle him down after a dreadful fourth set.

1548: Novak Djokovic has taken the first set 6-3 against Amer Delic. If the fourth seed wins he will meet Nicolas Kiefer in an intriguing third round match.

1547: Roger Federer says he is warming to his task ahead of his meeting with Marat Safin: "I felt in the first match that my timing was off sometimes, but that was much better I thought against Del Potro, and also my movement was better. For this reason I feel very confident for the next match."

1545: Henman holds comfortably - Lopez had better get his head together for the fifth set - and levels the match at 2-2. It's another Henman five-setter on Centre Court and there's no doubt who has the upper hand going into the decider.

1544: Marcos Baghdatis has won the first set of his match against Nicolas Devilder 6-0 in just 18 minutes.

1543: Bjorkman has beaten Wang in four sets so he'll face Arthurs in round three - the two men having a combined age of 71.

1542: Lopez holds - with difficulty - so at least he's likely to serve first in the final set.

1538: Jarkko Nieminen, the 18th seed, has beaten Florian Mayer of Germany in five sets.

1535: Lopez is fading fast and Henman races 5-1 ahead. Out on Court 18, Nadia Petrova has taken the first set 6-2 against Sania Mirza.

1532: Lopez savestwo break points but then double faults on a third and Henman is two breaks up at 4-1.

1526: Henman keeps up the pressure on Lopez, who is wilting. The Brit holds for 3-1.

1524: On Court One, Hewitt has taken the first set 6-2 against Bolelli.

1522: Kuznetsova has reached the third round with a 7-6 6-4 win over Mattek.

1521: Henman breaks to love and after reaching 0-40 he approaches the net and stares Lopez out. The result is a horrible forehand on break point from the Spaniard which loops well over the baseline.

1519: Henman responds well, levelling it up at 1-1.

1515: Lopez quietens the crowd by holding to love in the first game of the fourth set.

1511: Henman takes the second of three set points by putting away a volley at the net and this match is back on.

1508: Lopez holds so he'll at least make Henman serve out the set here.

1505: Blake will face Ferrero in round three after completing a 6-4 6-3 6-3 win over Pavel.

1505: Henman holds for 5-2 after being taken to deuce and he has the momentum now.

1504: Beaten Briton Katie O'Brien has said she "didn't do herself justice" against Michaella Krajicek today. She won just one game but is determined to improve in the coming months after a relatively successful grasscourt campagn. "Obviously she is a step up in class to what I have been used to so maybe I was a little bit overwhelmed by that," said O'Brien. "But it is definitely a level I aspire to get to. Things really have happened so quickly the last two weeks, but I think today was a bit of a reality check. After this, I will be 120 in the world and, hopefully, I can crack into the top 100 sooner rather than later."

1503: Juan Carlos Ferrero, the 20th seed, has reached the third round with a four-set victory over Gilles Muller.

1459: Henman breaks again and he's turned the third set on its head.

1455: Henman holds to love and there's life in him yet.

1409: Simon has taken the third set against Youzhny for a 2-1 lead while Kuznetsova is now cruising, 3-0 up and serving in the second set against Mattek.

1453: Henman lifts the Centre Court crowd by breaking back in the fourth game for 2-2.

1452: Tursunov confirms his third round clash with Haas with a 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-4 win over Berrer.

1448: Thirteenth seed Tommy Haas is into the third round with a 6-3 7-6 6-4 win over Tomas Zib. He's likely to face Tursunov, who's on the brink of victory against Berrer.

1447: Henman holds for 1-2. Kiefer has seen off Santoro, winning 6-4 6-3 6-4 and his third round opponent could be Novak Djokovic.

1445: Lopez drops just the one point on serve as he moves 2-0 ahead. The atmosphere on Centre is now completely flat as Henman's fight ebbs away.

1442: Lopez crashes a backhand winner past Henman for a break point in the first game of the third set and he makes the breakthrough when Henman nets.

1440: Robredo, the 11th seed, has lost in straight sets to Arthurs, 6-3 7-6 6-3.

1438: Kuznetsova broke back against Mattek in the 12th game and then won the subsequent tie-break.

1438: Lopez puts away a simple volley at the net after forcing Henman to run right and then left and the Spaniard leads by two sets.

1437: Henman saves the first of three set points for 6-4 and a wild forehand return from Lopez goes long for 6-5.

1436: Henman is fighting back, a backhand smash for 5-3 and the crowd is back in the game. However, a Lopez serve finds the centre line and Henman can't return it. 6-3.

1435: Lopez fizzes abackhand return wide for 5-1 and a big Henman serve makes it 5-2.

1434: Henman slices a backhand well wide and Lopez is running away with the tie-break. 4-0. A powerful serve, Henman's blocked backhand sails wide. 5-0.

1431: Lopez moves 1-0 ahead with a sliced forehand which Henman couldn't return. Henman then misjudges the flight of a forehand return and it drops on the sideline for 2-0. A wonderful backhand return then gives Lopez a 3-0 lead.

1430: Henman holds and the second set goes into a tie-break like the first. Venus has won 6-2 6-2 and Blake has taken the second set against Pavel.

1428: Mattek has made the first breakthrough in the 11th game against Kuznetsova and she's serving for the first set at 6-5.

1421: Lopez holds to love and the pressure is right back on Henman at 4-5.

1420: Venus is 4-1 up in the second and cruising to victory. Once she has completed the formalities, Lleyton Hewitt will be on Court One against Simone Bolelli.

1419: After saving four break points, Henman finally holds serve for 4-4 in the second set.

1417: Mathieu has completed a 6-3 6-4 6-3 win over Ferrer, the 17th seed, and meets Ljubicic next.

1415: Henman angles a volley wide and gives up a fourth break point, but saves it again with another wide serve.

1414: Henman is still struggling to hold serve and he's back at deuce. Eleventh seed Tommy Robredo looks to be on his way out, losing a second set tie-break against Wayne Arthurs to fall two sets behind.

1411: A great serve out wide saves the first of three break points - a repeat snuffs out the second. Lopez then whips a backhand wide and Henman is back at deuce.

1411: Lopez is beginning to dominate charging into the net and he puts away a forehand for 0-30 on the Henman serve. Henman then fails to dig out a return to his feet and it's 0-40.

1407: Ljubicic holds to love and completes a 6-4 6-3 6-4 victory. Lopez edges 4-3 ahead against Henman on Centre.

1405: Kiefer has a two-set lead on Santoro and Ljubicic is serving for the match against Hernych.

1402: Lopez gets to 15-30 against the Henman serve but a wonderful angled volley followed by an ace - Henman's fastest serve at 123mph - snuffs out the threat.

1402: Blake breaks in the 10th game and takes the first set 6-4 against Pavel.

1401: Venus takes the first set 6-2 in 21 minutes against Sromova.

1354: Ljubicic and Mathieu are both a break to the good in their third sets and closing in on straight sets victories over Hernych and Ferrer respectively. Lopez moves to 2-1 and Henman is having very little impact against his serve.

1345: Over on Court One, Williams has an early break of serve and leads Sromova 2-0.

1343: Henman serves out wide and Lopez beats him with a forehand cross-court return. 5-3.

1342: It's back on serve and a backhand lob from Henman goes long for 3-3. An ace out wide makes it 4-3 Lopez to no more than a polite ripple of applause.

1341: Henman goes for the lob but Lopez has it covered and smashes for 2-1, before a wild backhand return from the Spaniard makes it 3-1. Henman is beaten by a cross-court forehand winner for 3-2 after a poor volley at the net.

1340: A powerful serve gives Henman the first point and a good return has Lopez stretching too far on the second. Henman 2-0.

1338: Blake and Pavel have traded breaks on Court Two, so it's Pavel serving at 2-3. Henman takes a couple of points off the Lopez serve but we're into a tie-break on Centre.

1143: Krajicek duly holds serve and leads 1-0 in the second set. Better there from O'Brien - she must start holding serve though and cut out the unforced errors.

1139: A third dropped service game for O'Brien, and she loses the first set 6-0. Krajicek in total control and the British girl needs to halt the slide immediately in this second set.
